Shrek 2
Now this was a movie I had been looking forward to. I really liked the first one. The cast is great and the animation is excellent. They pulled of another hit in my opinion. The successful use of pop culture references and double edged humor from the first movie was continued with the second.
The premise of the second film is that Princess Feona’s parents have requested to meet the new husband (Shrek). They travel to the country “Far, Far away” and meet the parents. The catch is that the parents really kind of expected Feona to be the same beautiful girl they sent off to sit in a tower and the husband to be Price Charming. Well, when Feona and Shrek appear (as much Ogres as they ever were) the fur starts to fly (or is that when Puss and Boots comes in?).
Anyhow, the movie was very good. Some of the scenes were definitely meant for the adults and a few of them are somewhat risky in that the adult humor isn’t that far over the heads of the kids watching it. My wife and I saw this about two weeks ago and we both liked it.
