CodeMash 2.0.0.8

I’m here at CodeMash 2008 in Sandusky.  I’d like to say it was a beautiful drive, but in reality it was quite boring.  Not much to look at.  I did get caught up on my .Net Rocks episodes though.

The IT world is very small and even coming all the way up to Sandusky I ran into a host of people I know:  Bill Wagner, Josh Holmes, Jeff Blankenburg, Jim Holmes, Joe Wirtley, Dan Hounshell, Dustin Campbell, Brian Sherwin, Jason Follas, Darrell Hawley, Dave Giard, etc., etc., etc. (Useless fact:  As I assembled the list of links above I found that every single one of these guys are the #1 hit on Google for their name.  Out of curiosity I ran my name: #3 for Michael Wood and #1 for Mike Wood.  Sadly, on Live I don’t make the first page on either search.)  I also ran into several people I know by name (or face) only.  In many conversations I found I was talking about people that others had worked with or knew by name.  It’s a small world after all.

I’m looking forward to the next two days.  Tomorrow (Thursday) I’ve signed up to be in the SRT sponsored “Expert’s Zone”.  If you are at CodeMash and you have a question about something I’ve blogged, on workflow, or just want to talk swing by.  I’ll be there the first two hours after the keynote.  After that I plan on hitting the presentations, though I’ve not decided which ones yet.
