Have you Xiine it?

Xiine (pronounced like seen with ‘Z’ sound) is a desktop reader application based on .Net 3.0 (WCF and WPF). It is written by EPS Software Corp., the same folks that bring us CoDe Magazine.  I’ll let Markus Egger explain more about it on his blog (look for an upcoming announcement on it).

Xiine is a smart client application and utilizes Click Once Deployment.  The link to install is : http://setup.xiine.com/client/windows/live/Xiine.application.  Note this not a link for more information…if you click that link it will attempt to install!  The app can sync up with your CoDe Magazine subscription so that all you the issues you’ve had access to in hardcopy will be available in the reader.  They are planning on having all sorts of different content providers for the Xiine reader, so keep an eye on this.  It’s not JUST for CoDe magazine.

The reader experience is pretty nice based on the Beta I had the good fortune to participate in.  I recommend checking it out.

What’s also cool is that authors can make content available for Xiine and there is some content out there already for free.
