The Event formerly known as Cincinnati-Dayton Area Code Camp
Well, there won’t be a Cincinnati-Dayton Area Code Camp this year…..instead there will be a Central Ohio Day of .NET! The Columbus based Central Ohio .NET Developers Group has jumped in to help host the event so we’ve ditched the old name and chosen to rip off the Day of .NET moniker. We did this for two reasons:
- The Day of .NET moniker is well known in the region and has several really successful events under its belt.
- We aren’t that original and I can’t pronounce the name Brian Prince suggested: “ColumbiDaytinnati Day of .NET”
The name isn’t the only thing that has changed. The last two years we’ve hosted the event at the Wingate Hotel in West Chester. This was an excellent location for people from Cincinnati, and a decent location from Dayton; however, we just didn’t draw that large a crowd from Columbus. We also had several comments about crowding in the halls at the Wingate…oh, and no place to sit down and eat your food at a table. This year we are having the event at the Roberts Center in Wilmington, OH (Exit 50 of I-71). This may be a little farther for us folks from Cincinnati to drive, but we hope that this will draw more people in from Columbus. This year the event will be held on Saturday, April 19th!
The event staff this year is just getting spun up, so look for more information to be announced soon. You can stay tuned to what’s going on by:
- Subscribing to the CINNUG blog, which will announce anything of real importance around the event.
- Keep an eye on the event home page at : http://www.cinnug.org/cododn/
Also, if you were an attendee of the code camp one of the last two years and have some suggestions for us, please post them to our Central Ohio Day of .NET forum on the CINNUG site, or through our contact form.
If you are interested in speaking at the event there is a submission form on our downloads site. Also, if your company would like to sponsor the event, check out the sponsor prospectus.
We’ll post the registration link as soon as we get one up. Hope to see all of you there!
[Edit] - Corrected title.
