Everyone needs a good laugh

I listen to the podcast edition of Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me from NPR.  It gets shuffled onto my Zune with a dozen other podcasts (mostly technical) and I get to them everyone once in a while.  If you aren’t familiar with the NPR show it is a news quiz and quite amusing.  Something in the podcast from 1.13 made me bust out laughing while driving on my way home tonight.  (You can listen to the bit this is from here….skim to 4:06 and listen).

First off, let me say, just because people call you Moron, doesn’t mean you have to act like one.  It would seem that a Moron got drunk and drove his truck into a house, after crashing over the mailbox first.  The Moron tested at twice the legal blood alcohol level.  The 20 year old Moron is probably wishing that he had just not driven that night.  Of course, that’s probably his second wish, right after the wish about not being named Bryan Scott Moron. 

Poor guy.  If I were him I would have changed my name at 18.

Suddenly I’m having flashbacks to a scene in Space Balls.  You probably know the one: “I’m surrounded by ….”

PS- When I looked up the Space Balls link on IMDB I saw that there appears to have been a Space Balls animated series in 2007.  I’ll have to look that up.
