OneNote and Screenshots
OneNote with SP1 offers a screen clipping utility that is pretty nice. You can get to it inside OneNote by using the Screen Clipping option from the Insert menu. The way to get to it when OneNote is closed is off the OneNote Icon in the systray. Just right-click the icon and select Screen Capture. With the options on the context menu from the sys tray icon you control what happens to the screen clip. These will cause OneNote to go into the background and show your screen with an white opaque look to it. You can then use your mouse (or pen) to select a region of space (in a rectangular form) on the screen. When you’re done that selected portion of the screen is copied either into your clipboard, into OneNote, or both (per your settings).
This is an excellent tool and much more useful, IMO, than the snippet tool (unless you need an odd shaped clipping). If you already have OneNote running, this makes a good replacement for snippet anyway. Snippet seems to eat up a lot memory anyway. I use the OneNote icon quite a bit so it world be overhead I have already.
