MSDN Event in Cincinnati/Northern KY

There is a MSDN Event this Thursday at the Radisson in Northern KY (the round tower hotel near the I75 bridge).  Any Microsoft developer in the Cincinnati area should take a look at list of topics and see if they are interested.  If so, sign up for it

There will be four session (two long ones, and two short ones) from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.  They will be presented by Bill Steele from Microsoft Consulting Services.  Bill tells me that there will be plenty of cool DVDs and T-shirts for everyone, so get a bunch of people to show up to prove him wrong!  Of course, if you do that, try to get there early so that you make sure you get some free stuff.  Welcome time starts at 12:30 PM and sessions start at 1:00 PM.  It’s Free!  Just convince you’re boss/client to give you the time (they even provide some arguement points for you).

  • Object Oriented Programming in VB.Net (longer)
  • Location Intelligence using MapPoint Web Services (shorter ~30 mins)
  • Optimizing ASP.Net 1.1 Web Applications (longer)
  • ASP.Net 2.0 Membership and Personalization (shorter ~30 mins)

I’m checking with my boss to see if I can go.  I’m pretty interested in the Optimizing ASP.Net  1.1 and the ASP.Net 2.0 Membership stuff.

Update: I’ll be there!
