I Robot anyone?

Hmmm, this article on the BBC makes me think that sooner or later we will generate a mandatory set of “core directives” for robots.  This sounds suspiciously familiar.  Of course, the article is just talking about how robots should interact with Humans, but I think the Three Laws of Asimov will likely be brought to real use at some point.  I do agree that robots will increasingly become a part of our lives.  They are still pretty much relegated to manufacturing at the moment (unless you are counting the Aibo’s and, the more useful, Roombas), but I think as more useful home use robots appear their numbers will increase.
