Injuries incompatible with life
I was driving home the other night and heard on the radio that there had been a construction accident locally. The reporter was interviewing the Fire Chief who was describing what his crews had found when they arrived. They couldn’t help the man that was involved in the accident so they called the coroner. Now, this interview was being held before the Coroner had made an official announcement about the mans’ death. This means that the Fire Chief can’t actually say the man is Dead….it’s not his call to say that when dealing with the media. So what I found very amusing was that the fire chief worded it as ‘our men found a gentlemen trapped under a piece of equipment with
injuries incompatible with life
.’ Now, I don’t find the accident funny, and especially not the death of this poor man, but the wording was just hilarious.
