Tablet Reloaded

I’ve owned my tablet (Motion M1300) for about a year and a half now.  Over that time I’ve had a lot of crazp loaded onto it, including several Beta products and such.  I decided it was time to reload a fresh base.  Over last Sunday I backed up all the files I thought I would want to keep and then used the refresh disks that came with the Motion tablet.  I used an Addonics DVD-Rom drive connected via Firewire to do the install.  The re-install went flawless and the Motion detected the Firewire device immediately as a boot device.  Once the refresh was done I was sitting at Tablet OS, pre SP1.  So, some time was spent with Windows update to get everything up to snuff (XP SP2, security updates, etc., etc.).

Many hours were spent loading back up software that I use.  The best addition to the refresh was Virtual PC 2004.  I can not have a VPC image to load my Betas for Visual Studio and Yukon!  That way when I’m done with them, or the next Beta version comes along I can just nix the VPC image and pull up another without having to refresh my entire PC or subject the tablet to bad (or resilent) Betas.  I also plan on using VPC images for developing for clients so I can keep machine setup and such seperate from my day to day usage of the tablet.
