How to Remove "Using your Motion" from your start menu

I recently rebuilt my tablet and one of the things that I had forgotten about was the manufacturer’s link on the start menu. The link is named “Using Your Motion” and brings up a tour of the Motion tablet. It’s listed on the right side of the menu under the My Computer, etc. icons. I remembered not having it on my start menu prior to my rebuild, so I must have gotten rid of it before. I did a quick Google and came up with a post from the TabletPC Buzz forum about the issue. Apparently on the factory install you can remove this in the start menu customization by unchecking the manufacturer’s link option in the list that has the show control panel as a link, etc. Well, after I reinstalled from the recovery disks this was NOT an option. Good ole Trevor (a TabletPC buzz fanatic) mentioned having to dig into the registry to get rid of this.

So, here is the key I found it under: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID{2559a1f6-21d7-11d4-bdaf-00c04f60b9f0}  All I did was search the registry for “Using Your Motion”.  It was the first key that was found.

Now, I only advocate modifying your registry if you KNOW what you are doing.  If you don’t know what Regedit is, then don’t try this.  I exported the key, just in case it caused issues, then deleted it.  Rebooted and the link was gone.  Know that I’ve been running for a few days I’ve also deleted the exported reg file, but I wanted to post the key for posterity (and for when I need to look it up again).
