Motion adds yet another tablet to their line
Motion releases the LS800 tablet PC as “the smallest, lightest full-powered Tablet PC”. Looks like it is about two thirds the size of their currect slate tablets (LE1600), but has a max of 512 MB of RAM and no PC card slot. The screen is obviously smaller at 8.4". This looks like an excellent tool for power meeting types and true mobile users who are using this tool on the go around the office (doctors, nurses, lawyers, etc.).
I don’t think this model would do much for me since as a developer I covet my screen real estate and need a heck of a lot more memory. I’ve actually been wondering if my next tablet should be a convertible or not. I tend to use my Motion M1300 mainly attached to it’s hard top keyboard, but then at home or in meetings switch to the slate mode. It will be quite a while before I can get a new one anyway.
