Bitslingers 4.6.2009
The next Bitslingers event will be on Monday, March April 6th. Once again we’ll host the event at the Panera Bread on Mason Montgomery road. If anyone has a better place in mind that can offer non-stop wi-fi, please let me know.
What is Bitsligners? This is an informal meetup of people interested in learning from one another. Bring your laptop and pair up with someone to work on an open source project, learn a new technique, or even dabble in a new language. There is no agenda or specific topic, just an time set aside for people to pair.
Phil Japikse and Joe Wirtley are going to be starting to use this time for contributing to the Gallio open source project. This time around I’m going to be playing with PowerShell. So, if you want to start helping with an Open Source project, or you want to learn a little about PowerShell come out and join us. Don’t let what we’ve chosen to do with the time stop you from pairing with someone on something completely different. The time is just set aside for people to come together to learn.
The meetup officially kicks off at 6:00 PM, but lasts until the last pair breaks up, or they kick us out. Feel free to come and join us for as long, or as short, of a time as you want to.
No food is provided by CINNUG, but it is in a restaurant.
EDIT: Corrected month reference….that’s the second time in two weeks.
