Agile Summer Camp, Sept 6th

Josh Holmes and Chris Woodruff are arranging a very unique event over the weekend of September 6th. The Agile Summer Camp will be held in Brighton, MI at the Brighton Recreation Area. You can look forward to a laid back, rustic weekend discussing software development and agile practices. This sounds like a blast. Check out the wiki for more information.

.NN #20: Developing with Two Monitors

There are a lot of studies out there that talk about the benefits of multiple monitors. Just doing an Internet search for “multiple monitor productivity” will bring up a lot of information on the subject. I’m not going to rehash that information, but rather I’m going to talk about how I use multiple monitors when I develop with Visual Studio. The client I’m working at now provides dual monitors (mostly 17" flat panels) to all of their developers.

CinARC and Open Spaces

Two great nights of conversation. We had about 20 people at the CinARC meeting this last Tuesday. Three guys came all the way from Indianapolis to attend! That’s great! Shane, Dean and Sasha all heard about the event via Twitter and decided to brave some fairly nasty weather to attend. The fish bowl meeting format at CinARC is still working out for us. I think we will rotate the moderator role or have special guests be moderators so that they don’t have to leave the table.
