Upcoming Local (FREE) Azure Events
There are several upcoming Azure related events that I wanted to share.
First, if you want a high level overview of what Windows Azure is then you should check out one of the two hour webinars coming up. MAX Technical Training, Microsoft and Strategic Data Systems have teamed up to present a few Windows Azure KickStarts. You can sign up for these on the MAX Train website. They are completely FREE. Here is a short description:
“Windows Azure Kickstart is a free, two-hour webinar to introduce you to cloud computing and the Windows Azure Platform. We will deploy an application in the cloud, cover what the major parts of the Windows Azure are and how Microsoft has built their Cloud offering. Did we already mention that each attendee will deploy their own application into the cloud? Join us to see just how easy the deployment can be. As an attendee you will also get a FREE token which can be used for a limited time with Windows Azure to continue your learning on your own. We’re offering a total of six sessions over two days only - June 2nd and June 9th.”
Each session is the same information, so all you need to do is pick a time that is good for you. They are being given at noon, 3PM and 6PM both days. Did you get the part where you get a free limited time Azure account so you can play around?
If you don’t satisfy your interest in what Azure is with the kick starts, or if you want to really get a deep dive into Azure, then check out one of the FREE Azure Boot Camps that Strategic Data Systems and Microsoft are throwing. This is a hands on code type training class where we dive into what Azure is, what its moving parts are and really get to the core of Microsoft’s cloud offering.
