In the year 2000 I was hired by G.A. Sullivan, which has since been absorbed into Avanade. On my first day of work I was presented with the employee manual, some paperwork and a copy of “The Elements of Style, 4th ed. " by Stunk and White. I was told the owner of the company (Greg Sullivan) was a stickler for grammar and spelling in all correspondence (reports, presentations, emails, etc).
For those of you who have the Canon Digital Rebel XT, otherwise known as the Canon EOS 350 D, they have released a firmware update for it on 10/25/2005. The instructions are pretty easy to follow, but for some reason my camera would get to the screen that said “CF card containing firmware is required to update.” and just hang. I think I would have preferred to see “verifying update” or something like that.
Well, with the new SQL Server, Visual Studio and Biztalk coming out in just a few weeks it’s no wonder that the marketing machine that is MS is hyping it’s new certification paths.
