Spring spiffy

Well, I finally got around to getting my blog site cleaned up. Since I had moved to Community Server I had lost the customizations I had made to my previous layout (under .Text). I have now re-added the dynamic BlogRoll (thanks to NewsGator), and the subscription buttons for NewsGator and myYahoo. I’ve also added a nice image to the header of the blog (taken in Scotland). Of course, the majority of my readers use aggregators (as far as I can tell), I thought the clean up looked good anyway.

New toy II

In addition to getting a new camcorder I have also picked up a new digital camera. I’ve had my Sony Cybershot DSC-F505 for about five or six years now. Before that I had a point and shoot Sony digital camera for about two years. The DSC-F505 has been a great camera and has served pretty well. It still takes great pictures (at 2.1 Megapixels) and I used it last summer when I went to Scotland.

New toy

Well, I finally picked out and purchased a camcorder. I ended up going with the Panasonic PV-GS200. It’s last year’s model and I was just lucky enough to find a Circuit City that was selling their floor model (as they no longer carried the camera). In reading many reviews on CamCorderInfo and DVSpot I came to the conclusion that Panasonic had some of the best camcorders in the $500-$1,000 range. I started looking at several models and noted that the reviewers and comments were more happy with last years GS200 than this years GS250 (the successor).
