This is not the XPathNavigator You are Looking For...

I’ve been working with some XML lately and was passing it around from object to object via an XPathNavigator. At one location in the code I wanted to check the XML against a schema. In 1.1 this required you to do a lot of round about moving of the data out of the XPathNavigator into a reader, etc, etc. So, with all the changes in 2.0 I did a quick search on Google to see what I could find for using XPathNavigator and checking schemas.

Heart Land District Web Cast: LINQ

Learn more about LINQ on the Heart Land District’s first User Group Webcast. This is a series of free webcasts on every other Monday starting on Nov. 6th. The first one is presented by Bill Wagner. The next one is being given by Brian Prince. I’m on the hook to do one in January.

Polymorphic Podcast

I’ve started listening to the Polymorphic Podcast. The podcasts centers on interviews about .Net technologies and development practices. The podcasts run between 20 minutes and an hour. Some of them get split into multiple podcasts. The content has been pretty good. The last episode was an interview with Robert Scoble. A bit off-topic in my opinion, but interesting. If you have a commute in the morning, you might as well listen to something other than the local talk radio (which is horrible in Cincinnati).
