Day of .Net

First post of the year for me…..I’m not one for one of those “relive the last year” people so here is some information about something that is coming up in the New Year! Columbus’s first “Day of .Net ”. This is a free mini-conference hosted at the Microsoft office in Columbus. They will have a few different presentations (looks to be mainly leaning toward web services, but a few others by Alex Lowe on upcoming Whidbey things and a presentation by James Avery about tweaking your IDE).

First CINNUG meeting...

Tonight was CINNUG’s first meeting. I wasn’t able to go because it was also my two year wedding anniversary. As much as my wife is happy to let me revel in my geekdom, I think skipping out on dinner with her for a user’s group meeting would have been pushing it. :) Hopefully one of the attendees will blog about the presentation. James Avery was going to give a presentation on Mono.

Breaking Change list for .Net 2.0

I’m in the process of loading up VS.Net 2005 Beta 1 Refresh onto my tablet. While doing so I was researching for issues about the installation, use, etc. and came across this handy little link. This is a list of all known breaking changes so far in the Framework. Probably worth a look see. Oh, and the readme file for the install can be found here.
