On Wednesday night I received the following from my hosting company:
“We have recently noticed an increase in the number of ….. customers who have been unable to purchase domain names shortly after checking their availability through certain domain name lookup tools on the web. It has come to our attention that one or more Domain Name Registrars may be reserving domains immediately after a search is performed on their websites and then requiring you to purchase the domain name directly through them.
I’ll be speaking at the Dayton .Net Developers Group on this Wednesday. I’ll be giving my “Be a Rules Follower” talk which details the Windows Workflow Rules Engine. The weather is calling for snow the next two days, so here’s hoping for a really small amount.
Well, there won’t be a Cincinnati-Dayton Area Code Camp this year…..instead there will be a Central Ohio Day of .NET! The Columbus based Central Ohio .NET Developers Group has jumped in to help host the event so we’ve ditched the old name and chosen to rip off the Day of .NET moniker. We did this for two reasons:
The Day of .NET moniker is well known in the region and has several really successful events under its belt.
