Microsoft aquires SysInternals

This NasDaq site (via Dan Crevier) states that MS has aquired SysInternals. This is interesting news. I use many of the SysInternals tools and it will be interesting to see what MS does with them.

Windows Live now provides email for custom domains

Windows Live Custom Domains is now available (Sorry if it has been out a while, I just noticed it today). This is a way for you to have your own domain name (such as mvwood.com) and use hotmail to basically host an email address from that domain. The benefit that I see would be if you just have a domain name registered, but no email service, or even if you have a good email service set up, by using the Windows Live Custom Domains you get the Hotmail interface while retaining your own domain identity.

Office 2007 may loose pdf feature

This is just lame. Adobe is threatening to sue Microsoft if they ship Office 2007 with the capability to natively save pdf files. Adobe wants MS to charge for the feature, essentially upping the cost of the Office software. This is ridiculous. There are other office-like packages out there that use this supposedly “open” standard of a PDF file. Why, all of a sudden, does Adobe feel the need to threaten to sue someone for using their “open” standard file format?
