Well, the upgrade went very smoothly, minus the fact that it took forever to FTP the bits up to my hosted site. CS 2.0 has a LOT of files. I decided against going with the .Net 2.0 version of CS 2.0 and stuck with .Net 1.1. It seemed there were less issues with installation and permissions this way. Besides, CS 3.0 will be the first truly ASP.Net 2.0 version, so I’ll look at switching then.
So, Microsoft announced that Vista will be delayed for home users till Jan. 2007. I guess I’m not all that suprised. The real question in my mind is does this do anything to the timeline for WinFx and WF? What about the corporate version of Vista (equivalent to Windows XP Pro) that will be released in November? Will that version also contain the bits that are the equivalent to MCE? I guess I’ll have to do some blog/web digging for the answers.
The SyncToy power toy from MS is now been released with a version of 1.1. Looks like there are some bug fixes and such. I’ve still not gotten around to actually trying this tool.
