Rob Bushway is giving away a DocuPen RC800! This is a pen scanner that can be used to scan entire documents in ~ 4 seconds. Instead of most pen scanners that scan a line of text at a time, this scanner is used to drag down the page and scan the whole document. All Rob is asking is that you leave a comment on his blog entry (this one here) stating how the pen would affect your digital lifestyle.

So, last week I posted about the new Trio 700w from Verizon. I had asked how Verizon planned on hamstringing this phone and, thanks to Nino, I have the answer. The current Verizon plan is to NOT allow the phone to be used as a Dial Up Networking Device, so no using your phone to attach your laptop to the Internet. And even if you could, they expect you to pay for an additional EVDO account to do so.

Oh, and I got my tablet back yesterday! 1 Gig of Ram now. Nice.
