Well, my Linksys Media Center Extender came in last night. I had to wait at the Fed-Ex place for the truck to make it back from the airport. Due to the weather we were having traffic was pretty bad. So, after I get home two and a half hours after leaving work I eat a quick meal, go scrape the driveway so I can get to the car in the morning, and then start to work on the extender.
Well, Media Center didn’t do so hot on consecutive recordings. Sci-fi channel runs Stargate SG1 episodes back to back from 6:00 PM to 11 PM (5 showings) every Monday. The Media Center picked up that it needed to record all five due to me telling it to record the series; however, each show started to loose a little of it’s beginning to the show previous, and then there were gaps of about a minute and half between recordings which totally missed the beginning part of the show.
James points me to an article where Shuttle is working on a new Shuttle XPC machine to ship with MCE 2006 (due out in Q3). One thing to note is that MCE 2006 and the Shuttle XPC is supposed to support CableCards! Very cool stuff.
