Verizon does it again...

So, last week I posted about the new Trio 700w from Verizon.  I had asked how Verizon planned on hamstringing this phone and, thanks to Nino, I have the answer.  The current Verizon plan is to NOT allow the phone to be used as a Dial Up Networking Device, so no using your phone to attach your laptop to the Internet.  And even if you could, they expect you to pay for an additional EVDO account to do so.  Ouch.  No thanks.  Now I think I’ll really be looking at jumping ship next month when my contact is up.
