Interview on MVP Blog
While I was out in Redmond last month I attended a MVP pre-PDC event the day before PDC. It was a really great event where we got to interact with some of the product team folks (thanks to Susan, Emily and the other MVP program folks for putting it on!) . Before the event Brian Prince and I sat down and gave an interview which has now been released on the MVP blog (and YouTube).
Brian and I talking about Community and Windows Azure.
It’s always odd listening to myself, or seeing myself on video like this. Listening back to what I said I did have one thing I wanted to point out. I make the comment (about 10 seconds into the clip) about how I liked that Microsoft made it easy for people to use the skills they have to produce cloud applications, but I make it sound like only Microsoft developers can build on the skills they already have. This really isn’t true. Microsoft has also done a LOT of work to make Azure accessible to multiple platforms, including Java, Ruby and PHP.
I had fun in the interview and it’s always great to catch up with Brian for a while.
