Okay, so the Code Snippet Manager in VS.Net 2005 is pretty cool. I’ve used it for some quick, very repetitive code, but also during demonstrations to help the ability to “build up” my demonstration without having to type the code or constantly cut & paste into it. However, the snippet manager is not without problems.
I was setting up a few snippets when I noticed that the snippet manager was out of sync from what was coming up when I attempted to use Ctrl-K, Ctrl-X.
Looks like I’ll be giving one of the sessions on Windows Workflow at the upcoming July DevCare event in Cincinnati. DevCare is a free, half-day session on Microsoft technologies that is sponsored by MaxTrain (the same training company that graciously provides a meeting site for the CINNUG meetings). Drew Robbins, our local Microsoft Developer Evangelist will be at the event to give the other of the two sessions. The first session will be an intro to WF and then the second session will be on creating custom activities for your workflows.
At my current client we are using Enterprise Library. We’ve used the previous two releases of the library (versions 1.0/Jan. 2005 and 1.1/June 2005), but we had not strong named the assemblies. Each application that went out had it’s own references to the framework assemblies. Actually, the client had not been using strong names for any of their assemblies.
